Hardening: The blades undergo a specialized hardening process, where they are heated to nearly 1,000°F in a protective atmosphere. This rapid cooling transforms the steel, making the blades extremely durable and able to hold a sharp edge.

Tempering: In the final step, the blades are tempered, with the back facing the heat source. This balances the characteristics of the steel, ensuring optimal strength, hardness, stain resistance, and edge retention.
